In Concan, Texas, not far from the towns of Rio Frio and Leakey lays a Special County Road by the name of 350. If you are not familiar with the area(s), and not looking left or right while driving on RR 1050 or HWY 83, you will probably miss one of the most intriguing pathways in the Frio River Canyon Area.
CR 350 has everything from Lodging/Cabins, Real Estate, RV/Tent Sites, Tubes & Kayaks, to a Large Convenience Store (at Parkview Riverside). Also, running parallel to CR 350 and across the Frio River is the famous Garner State Park. While cruising along 350, you will see Garner’s “Old Baldy” and many other Hill Tops making the 350 ride a memorable one.
Also, about halfway down CR 350 is “Magers' Crossing” where 100s every weekend and throughout the week gather during the Spring , Summer and early Fall to swim, tube, fish, lounge, and enjoy the Frio. It is called Magers' Crossing because at one time, The Magers' owned all the land along CR 350 and currently still hold much of the 350 Real Estate.
If the information and pictures from our site devoted to the County Road entices you enough, there are plenty of accommodations happy to have you.
